
Become a better driver!
The goal of arranging a driver development course is to give you, as a driver, the opportunity to get to know your own car under safe and controlled conditions.
The driving course is conducted in a way that takes into account the participants' experience level. The course is also conducted in accordance with the current provisions of the Road Traffic Act.
The driving course is arranged in accordance with; "Regulations for SpringBrake Driving Courses".
To ensure the safety of the individual participant, the regulations are based on the Road Traffic Act. It is important that all participants read the regulations carefully and come to the event as prepared as possible. About the driver-course
After check-in, the car and personal driver equipment will be checked, and tires will also be checked with special attention to age and wear.
Class divisions have been established to ensure that participants with approximately the same level of experience drive at the same time on the track.

Spring Brake is arranged with the following classes;
N = Beginner, this class is for those with little or no previous experience with track driving. Normally, you will participate in this class on the first driving courses or until the individual feels comfortable moving to the next class.
U = Unexperienced, this class is for those who have previously participated in N or have other previous experience with track driving. Normally, the individual will be able to choose when they want to move to a higher class.
R = Experienced, this class is for those with a lot of experience with track driving. If in doubt, the instructors may be able to give recommendations on which class the individual driver should participate in.
Our instructors consist of experienced drivers whose experience with sports cars is guaranteed to help you become a better and safer driver in traffic.

Personal equipment for driver and passenger that is mandatory to participate is:
• Helmet, (only car or motorcycle helmets are allowed.)
• Full-coverage flame-retardant driving suit. This equipment does not have to be FIA ​​approved.
A flame-retardant welding suit is approved, as long as it is not soiled with fuel and oil. In addition, the use of suitable shoes and gloves is recommended.
The schedule will be prepared for the event, and will eventually be available on Facebook and our website.
We want to ensure that participants have a good and educational experience.
This includes:
• When driving on the track, it is important that loose objects in the passenger compartment and trunk are removed.
• All drivers must attend the driver meeting and sign for this after the information meeting.
• Instruction at the cars on the best possible sitting position and belt tightening.
• Theoretical and practical review of the track with a focus on track selection and braking points.
• Track driving for beginners with a focus on optimal driving lines, braking and acceleration. This type of training will be included in all events that are open to Beginners. Drivers from the other classes are also encouraged to participate in these activities.

Regulations SpringBrake
The following rules have been prepared for your own safety and the safety of others. The rules must be followed by everyone who participates in our driving course.
GENERAL:
The driving course is arranged so that participants can receive training in driving skills with their sports car under controlled conditions. All participants must read the driving course regulations, and bring a completed and signed form. This saves time at check-in, which in turn ensures more driving time. SpringBrake is approved by the Norwegian Public Roads Administration and exempt from speed limits in the Road Traffic Act.

PERSONAL DRIVER EQUIPMENT:
Drivers and passengers of registered cars must use:
• Full-coverage flame-retardant driving suits, no requirement for FIA approval.
• Helmet, only car or motorcycle helmets are allowed. It is also recommended to use well-fitting driving shoes and gloves.

THE CAR:
SpringBrake only allows street-registered cars.

TECHNICAL INSPECTION:
All cars participating in the SpringBrake driving course must undergo technical inspection. Personal driver equipment must be presented for inspection. After technical inspection, the organizer may refuse the car to participate in the driving course.
• Remember to also provide good brake fluid and generally good technical condition of the car. Check tires, brakes including brake fluid, and look for fluid leaks (oil, coolant, brake/power steering/washer fluid, etc.).

PREPARATION / MEETING:
Everyone who participates must:
Familiarize yourself with these regulations and fill out the participant form.
Report according to the start time given in the invitation.
Be able to show a valid certificate.
Attach to the driver meeting, the time for this will be announced on the schedule for the event.

DEPOT: Parking in the depot must take place in designated spaces or groups. Driving in the depot must take place at low speed, max. 20 km/h.
BEHAVIOR ON THE TRACK:
All forms of competitive driving/timing are prohibited. Overtaking is only permitted on designated sections of the track. Anyone wishing to overtake has the obligation to give way. Anyone being overtaken has the obligation to follow in the mirrors and, if necessary, reduce speed to facilitate overtaking. When exiting the track, solid barrier lines must not be crossed. When entering the pit/depot, use turn signals in good time while keeping well to the side so that one does not have to cross the track. Windows, sunroofs and convertibles must be closed while driving on the track. Flag instructions must always be followed. Drivers who are a danger to themselves or others may receive a warning, or be refused further driving.
FLAG/LIGHT:
Black and white checkered: - Driving pass has ended - drive calmly into the depot.
Red: - Driving pass has been interrupted, drive at low speed into the depot.
Yellow: - Low speed - a dangerous situation has arisen.
Green: - Area with dangerous situation passed - resume normal driving.
Blue: - Faster driver approaching from behind - Use mirrors - give a clear signal and let go of the car.
Black: - Drive slowly to the Pit for further instructions.
COURSE MANAGER/INSTRUCTORS: SpringBrake instructors are recognizable by their clothing such as a jacket/reflective vest. The course manager, in consultation with the instructors, may expel participants who do not follow these regulations and their instructions. These regulations are designed so that together we can conduct a safe driving course.
